A new debut album is being released on iTunes with Industry Records that has caused excitement with music fans all over the world. The new album, Worries & Trouble, is the debut album from 1EYE featuring reggae legends Tippa Irie, Michael Grant from Musical Youth and Apache Indian.

Worries & Trouble is an album that is set to launch 1EYE on to the big stage, providing engaging lyrics that tackle everyday issues that touch millions of people all over the world. 1EYE, who already have a big following around the world, wanted to come up with an album that would mean something to each and every one of their fans and tackle issues in a comical way that people can connect with.

1EYE have taken inspiration from some of the leading bands and artists the UK has produced including UB40, who were famous for tackling similar subject matters during the 1980′s. The new album, which is available from iTunes has already been labelled as one of the most exciting debut albums of 2016.

The Birmingham band’s debut single ‘Mr Bailiff’, which was included on the soundtrack for the movie ‘The Hooligan Factory’, was what first gained them recognition as an exciting band that was different from all other bands on the music scene. Since the release of that single, the band has received glowing reviews from music experts as well as fans. David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan has given 1EYE his full support and has played tracks from Worries & Trouble on his BBC Radio 1Xtra show. He included 1EYE in his ‘Best Of British’ show in 2015.

1EYE has supported the likes of UB40, Plan B, and Jimmy Cliff, and now, with the excitement of the new album it is time for the band to take to the main stage and show the world why they have become one of the most talked about bands in the UK.

Andy Sax from the band says: “We are so proud of the debut album, we believe this is our best work to-date and we hope our fans who have travelled our exciting journey with us feel the same.”

The debut album, which was produced by 1EYE and mixed by James Crosdale aka Yllavation, has a retro sound that embraces rocksteady, reggae, dub and ska. It is available for £7.99.

Back In Front Of The Camera With Gavin Watson

Happy new year everyone! We hope you all had chilled Christmas break. We’re pleased to announce that 1EYE will be working with Gavin Watson once again on an urban photo shoot around North London on Sunday 24th January. Gavin is from High Wycombe and is well known for his work on ‘Skins And Punks’ documenting their subcultures during the 80s. These photos gave inspiration to the well known British skinhead film ‘This Is England’. The Director Shane Meadows gave the following comment on Gavin’s work:

“What makes Gavin’s photos so special is that when you look at them, there’s clear trust from the subject towards the photographer so it feels like you’re in the photo rather than just observing.”

Gavin last photoed the band in 2012 around Birmingham producing a fine collection of images we’re all still proud of.  Locations included near St Paul’s Square, around The Jewellery Quarter and The Diskery, Birmingham’s oldest record shop. You can view Gavin’s 1EYE album here on our Facebook page.

We’re looking forward to Gavin showing us round his turf and his select locations. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and website gallery for the new album. Much love :-)
